Immo A. Hansen

Associate Professor of Biology at New Mexico State University

Immo Hansen received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Würzburg in 2001 where he worked in the field of insect molecular biology and endocrinology.   After postdocs at the university hospital in Würzburg, the University of California Riverside, and the University of Konstanz he joined the faculty of the Department of Biology at New Mexico State University in 2008. His international research team does cutting-edge applied- and basic research in molecular biology, molecular physiology, signal transduction, and cell biology of disease-transmitting mosquitoes and other blood-sucking arthropods.
