Functional Flow Solutions develops innovative tools for real-time monitoring of serotonin and dopamine levels. Our technologies, including lateral flow assays and wearable monitors, aim to improve treatment outcomes for mental health issues like depression and PTSD.

Business Intern

As a Business Intern at Functional Flow Solutions, you will be directly involved in market analysis, pitch development, and lead generation and outreach for our company’s innovative lateral flow assays and our electrochemical biosensors.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
  • Performs market research, lead generation, and pitch development.
  • Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
  • Assists in creating performance reports.

Work Hours: All interns are required to work 20 hours per week.

Intern Qualifications / Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High degree of professionalism required, with key organizational and scheduling skills. Confidentiality will be expected.

Requirements: Preferred concentration or major in business. Prior industry experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements: This is an on-site and/or hybrid internship position.

Bioscience Intern

As a Bioscience Intern at Functional Flow Solutions, you will be directly involved in the development and production of our innovative lateral flow assays and our electrochemical biosensors.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Accepts designated bioscience projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
  • Participates in all assay prototype development.
  • Runs ELISA assays to correlate prototype data outcomes. You will be trained in ELISA techniques if you do not already have ELISA experience.
  • Prepare and run lateral flow assays for optimizing conditions. You will be trained in lateral flow assay techniques if you do not already have lateral flow assay experience.
  • Learns and becomes proficient in all assay prototypes and in internal software systems.
  • Assists in creating performance reports.

Work Hours: All interns are required to work 20 hours per week.

Requirements: Preferred concentration or major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry. Prior wet lab experience and/or industry experience is preferred.
